About Us

Thank you for visiting the site!

A few things: the Country Estates Neighborhood Netwwork is NOT a homeowners association. There are no dues or bylaws or anything not already stated according to Owasso statutes. Second, our neighborhood edition name is not changing. The network name is something that will help identify us with other neighborhoods that are doing the same thing.

So what? Well, now we can apply for city grants through Owasso’s Strong Neighborhood Initiative Program to help improve our neighborhood, such as improving our entrances and getting street toppers. In addition, we will be able to tell what phase of Country Estates you are a part of or traveling through. Lastly, we will be safer as a whole. Part of our goal is also establishing an Alert Neighborhood Program through Owasso.

The bottom line is most residents in Country Estates feel they are not a part of Owasso, when in fact we are. We are a large edition with six phases. Our neighborhood network will help unitify us all.

Some of the other goals that have been discussed:

-Form an Alert Neighborhood Program through the City of Owasso Police Department and the Strong Neighborhood Initiative.

-Purchase street sign toppers that identify our neighborhood and let you know when you are going from one phase to another.

-Organize block parties to meet and get to know our neighbors.

-Have neighborhood garage sales.

-Put out an electronic newsletter: could inform residents of upcoming events or share information related to our neighborhood.
-Research the process of having our mailing addresses changed to reflect Owasso rather than Collinsville.

You say, “The bottom line is most residents in Country Estates feel they are not a part of Owasso, when in fact we are.”

It’s hard to feel like a part of Owasso when Owasso PD says you aren’t and argues with whether you’re in their jurisdiction.

Very true, Dave. In fact, I urge you to call the Police Department directly when this happens. This is what I have been advised by the city to do. But rest assured we are a part of Owasso. CENN will continue to work on this.
